California BrainWaves Nonprofit is Seeking Help for Saturday, June 1 San Leandro Cherry Festival


California BrainWaves' Healing Arts Program will be hosting a booth for people of all ages and abilities to do arts and crafts. We will be doing art activities focused on Breaking Stigma on Brain Health and Spreading Hope & Kindness. 

 

Needed: 

  1. Volunteers for set up (7am), take down (6pm), assisting art activities (11-6)
  2. Sponsor(s) for at least $1500 for event supplies. Or Venmo a donation @CABrainWaves.
  3. Art/craft supply donations needed in bulk: crayons, pens, markers, stamps and ink, paint and paintbrushes, jars for water, paper towel rolls, table clothes, stationary/cards, paper of all kinds, bulk art/craft projects. 


San Leandro's Cherry Festival since 1909 brings together entertainers, foodies, artists, nonprofits, local businesses, schools, community leaders, city organizations, and even boasts a classic car show, parade, cherry pie eating contest, a kids' zone, and much more! 10k people are expected to come!

California BrainWaves is a local nonprofit that supports Special Needs Families with brain and developmental disabilities. Brain tumors, cancers, aneurysms, ADHD, Autism, Alzheimers, seizures, mental illness: there are more than 400 brain disorders. Everyone knows someone with a brain or developmental disability. Oftentimes, you can't tell by looking at the person.  California BrainWaves has the vision of creating Neurodiversity Campuses for loved ones to remain living together instead of their disabled loved one being institutionalized, funneled into alternative schools and for-profit jails and prisons, or homeless on the streets. Our Plan

  Our Plan We are in the start-up, foundation stage. Our current objective is to build a very strong foundation by hand-selecting a powerful team.  For the rest of 2022, we will focus our energy on networking, marketing, fundraising. Our first development will be a new build that is sustainability focused.  We will develop a Live/Work/Learn/Play Therapeutic Campus for Special Needs Families in the  San Francisco Bay Area, named 7H20 .   Our nonprofit specifically caters to all ages and stages of people with brain and developmental disabilities. Cities we want to build in:  San Leandro  by the Marina,  Lafayette  by the Reservoir,  Martinez  by Briones or the water,  Benicia  by the water,  Palo Alto  by the water. We stay coastal due to brain chemistry changing in heat, causing an increase in seizures, psychosis, SPD and ASD episodes, dementia and Alzheimer's episodes, memory loss, confusion, heat stroke, migrain...
