Company Description
California BrainWaves aims to increase housing, employment, education, medical care, and community support for individuals with brain and developmental disabilities. The organization envisions creating therapeutic campuses to support individuals and their families, focusing on preventing family separations and providing support to staff, caregivers, and neurotypical siblings.
Role Description
This is a volunteer role for the Working Board of Directors at California BrainWaves. The Board of Directors will be involved in strategic planning, decision-making, governance, and oversight of the organization's activities to fulfill its mission and vision.
Qualifications
-Local to Alameda or Contra Costa Counties, SF East Bay, CA
-Experience in strategic planning, decision-making, and governance
-Knowledge of non-profit operations and compliance
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to work collaboratively and remotely
-Passion for advocacy and support for individuals with disabilities
-Experience in fundraising and grant writing is a plus
